We
are confident that these are possibly the finest quality
soaps produced in the world.
While
most soaps contain detergents, animal fats, heavy mineral
oils (petroleum based), preservatives, and artificial
colors we take a decidedly different approach. Our understanding
is that these ingredients are not good for you. Instead
we use ingredients that contain a variety of nutrients
that feed your skin the vitamins and minerals that your
skin needs to be healthy.
Noveya
soaps are 100% natural and made with the finest available
ingredients. Connect to the Land and get your skin into
shape with fine botanical extracts, whole plant leaves,
herbs and fruits. Noveya soaps are enriched with quality
essential oils both for their amazing penetrating scents
as well as for their skin refining properties. Essential
oils are well recognized for various therapeutic capabilities.
While we steer away from any specific claims regarding
our soaps, they can certainly be understood to be delivery
systems for the fine essential oils which they contain.
Each
soap has unique ingredients and respective properties
for a variety of skin conditions. Yet they are also light
enough for all skin types. All of our soaps can be used
for face, body and hands. They can even be used for your
hair.
Our
base consists of pure Israeli virgin olive oil, palm
oil, coconut oil and sweet almond oil. To that we add
pure Israeli honey and fresh goat's milk from the Galil
region in the north. Some soaps such as the almond/oatmeal
substitute moisturizing shea butter extracted from the
nut of the karite tree.
The
goat's milk soaps are rich in alpha hydroxy acids which
assist lifting the dead skin cells from the surface naturally
and without the need for abrasive scrubbing. The fresh
goat's milk also adds a silky smoothness to the soaps
enrichening your bathing experience. This is also ideal
for those with oily skin while fully suitable for dry
skin as well as it moisturizes while removing layers
of dead cells.
You
will find bits of crushed olive leaves and calendula
as well as grapes, figs, dates, mint and other natural
instances of the plants and trees that each soap is made
with. They wash off easily and should be considered a
wonderful addition just as the bits of almond and oatmeal
assist in not only acting as exfoliates but also offering
the natural goodness contained in the very grain. These
ingredients mix and blend with the oils and glycerine
of the soap and permeate it more over time as the soap
continues to cure and age, like a fine wine. The soaps
are cured for no less than one month each.
Our
soaps are therefore naturally imbued with various essential
nutrients, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants
cleansing and nourishing your skin. Honey and beeswax
offer additional moisturizing properties as well as assisting
your skin's own natural protective barrier. Honey and
beeswax are also excellent antibacterials, antimicrobials
with antiviral and even slight antiseptic properties
making them a welcome alternative to "produced" antibacterial
soaps that were recently proven to be non-effective in
normal conditions.
Unlike
most detergent based soaps that strip away your body's
natural oils and damage your skin and oil glands, Noveya's
soaps gently lift away dirt and oils while assisting
your system's natural processes - balancing sebum production,
calming and soothing the skin.
Our
concept of Beauty
Nutrients™ also
means that you're feeding your skin pure whole nutrients,
vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids and enzymes
that are vital for the functioning of this organ and
its tissue. The body's largest organ, the skin, absorbs
that which is applied to it, much like the stomach digests.
Giving your skin the food it needs means you'll have
truly healthy skin and it'll show.
Many
buy our entire collection offering months of luxurious
baths and showers. While others buy our unique Seven
Species set with the beautiful olive
wood soap dish hand crafted by local artisans.
According to Israeli law and the Torah fruit producing
olive trees can not be cut down, but only pruned, making
Israeli olive wood one of the rarer species - yet production
never threatens the landscape or environment.
